From the time they are born, you hear the questions; "are you going to enroll her in dance? Maybe she'll be a ballerina!" or "he's so big, he's going to be a great football/hockey player!" And I've always thought, maybe their parents don't want that life for their children...but it's even bigger than that! Thank you for the reminder to step out of my own self-entitlement!Autumn Evelynhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08503167585821929739noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3225823227541949661.post-24722819408407997232011-12-06T15:28:20.317-08:002011-12-06T15:28:20.317-08:00What a wonderful reminder as we raise our kids. Not because I'm against guns, I'm not, but because I never wanted him to see a gun as a toy and think of it in that way. He's not a Ranger, but has been in the Army for nearly 8 yrs and will be getting out in Feb. God bless him for wanting to serve his country. It absolutely takes a special breed of person to be in Special Forces, and also a special breed of family to wait for them. Hugs to all of you!Deb B - Debadoonoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3225823227541949661.post-51800037253189656682011-12-06T10:31:19.312-08:002011-12-06T10:31:19.312-08:00Isn't it just amazing to see each child's ...Isn't it just amazing to see each child's personality develop? It's so fun to watch my 2-year-old and imagine what great things God has in store for him. And my 7-month-old is getting a bigger personality by the day. :) I can't wait to see how different my two boys' might be. Not that I want to rush things. :)
-JenaiAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3225823227541949661.post-1680598458957316952011-12-06T07:32:25.627-08:002011-12-06T07:32:25.627-08:00What a great picture of how brothers can be so dif...What a great picture of how brothers can be so different. I love that you were told maybe God created him to be a warrior. My youngest I often think will be a soldier, policeman, fireman or maybe a lawyer! Now I can look at him and think that maybe God created him to be a warrior. What great new way to think of him!
-Elizabeth R.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3225823227541949661.post-67180798526630193632011-12-05T23:57:09.438-08:002011-12-05T23:57:09.438-08:00Lora, I LOVE that!
