  2. I was very encouraged by your talk today! My family and I have been trying very hard to save money to boost our savings in case my husband gets laid off or some similar thing happens so it was nice to have extra tips. I'm going to use your baby wipes solution and start using cloth wipes (already use cloth diapers). Thanks for the tip.

  5. Lora,
Thank you for sharing today. It got me thinking on what I can do to be a better steward of the provisions that God has provided for my family. So I went to costco to buy some beans. I will probably be picking your brain for some creative ways to serve them. I am also making lasagna (not just one, but 3) I figure why go to all the trouble for just one.
I was blessed by your talk today. Thank you and keep up the good work.

    1. Beans! One of our family favorites is Red Beans and Rice! There are many recipes online, and the only thing I do differently is substitute bacon for any ham a recipe might call for because we buy bacon in bulk at Costco. We use a different recipe every time so the taste always changes. Very filling dish too!

  10. Thank you so much, Laura! Your speech and your heart are so inspiring! I am falling into the stuffities a little bit recently because of the Christmas and after holiday sales but felling guilty about it though. Your message is just on time--- God always send me the right messages when I need it. I am so grateful for how much God has been blessed us and for the great circle of friends He put in my life!

  11. Thank you so much for coming to share your wisdom and love on all of the MOPS mamas! :) Currently I do use cloth diapers as well as cloth wipes (most of the time). With my cloth wipes I fill my wipes warmer with water, a couple drops of tea tree oil then add my cloth wipes so they are ready to go when I need them. I love the tip about the wipes spray. I will add that to my routine. Thanks again, God bless you!

  15. Lora - Thank you so much for speaking to us Moms yesterday. Everytime I talk to you I can see God's joy in you so much. Best tips learned and will be putting into practice - keep it simple, ticket reward system and tithe on free items you rec' from others. Also do not be afraid of an empty cupboard - I am going to start making meals with what I have to get my overflowing cupboards some much needed empty space.

  16. Lora, You are always full of such wisdom, joy, and practical tips. I've been inspired to try cloth wipes again now that I know what type of spray to use. Curious what type of fabric you used for your wipes. I'm also going to try to simplify this year. For a future blog article, would love to know how you teach your kids (especially 3-year olds!) a healthy sense of time and focus for the necessary tasks, such as getting somewhere on time, finishing tasks in a reasonable amount of time(mealtime), etc. Thanks again blessing us!
